"Put on the new man, which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”
This means that none of us are junk – we have a purpose to pursue. | Second – is to know that everyone has challenges. Remember, whatever your calling in life is, you may be tempted to copy those you view as successful. Unfortunately, if you do that – the best you'll achieve is a 'somewhat copy'. That's why we have six Police Academy films and only one Casablanca. |
Third – If you truly want to distinguish yourself, you need to be an innovator, not an imitator. God has given you unique skills, ideas and experiences.
There is no one just like you. So, take some time and think of what you're good at, what experiences you have and the characteristics you possess. Then, start developing those further aka get better (and that includes, working to reduce any negatives in yourself and life).
And most of all, remember there's only one way to be a true original in this copycat world: Be yourself. | Which brings us to the . . . 'I will' challenge of this C4L #6 (consider). I will (yes / no): __ Do and say what is right and needed, not what's wrong and trendy. __ Periodically check my thoughts, words and actions to make sure I avoid conformity. (and/or) ____________________ Things to do: _ Read Romans 12:1-8 and determine if you are on the path of growing & living in faith as a Christian. |
