I hope we all could answer yes; being prepared (vigilance) is key.
"Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong."

We don't know when an event of some type will unfold. So we must ask ourselves now - "could I, would I react to do what is needed?"
I hope we all could answer yes; being prepared (vigilance) is key. "Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong." -1 Cor. 16:13

Does Restraint really happen anymore? It seems like more and more people say what they want or do what they want. In some cases this may be good but without understanding restraint, some may be racing down the path of entitlement (the 'I want what I want'). But what say you? "Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;
but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction" -Proverbs 29:18 I'm thinking, if everyone thought more on respecting others and in thinking, are my actions respectful - we might see more talking, less yelling, more progress and less anger. This approach may be what is needed for change to happen.
So where is a good place to start? "Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor." -Romans 13:7 Service is an interesting word and possibly an aspect so critical to the world we live in. Some do, most don't, but what say you?
So, if you or someone you know is doing a service of some type - Thank You!
And if you have a name of some who is doing a great job of helping (service), use our comment form and let us know. And remember . . . "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." -Mark 10:45 |
