We all are on our journey - whether it is said we are on the 'road of life' or our 'faith journey', either way we are moving forward in time. Now how well that journey goes for us is dependent on various things. For example, this week's K/21 nineteenth trail - The Quiet Messenger - The Knight's Soul; was a good review of how we pursue or not - a religious faith. If you have not taken the time to reflect on what this means to you or even if it matters; we encourage you to read the following and to let us know of any questions or comments. | It was a week ago today that a member of wife's extended family had passed away. I know we are so appreciative of all the sympathy and support that was received but as I pondered all that unfolded, there was a group that did so much yet get little recognition. This week's message is dedicated to all the Hospice care providers. For example, Samuel came to cover the night shift. His dedication and compassion was phenomenal and not only are we thankful for what he did, but what all the Hospice staff did. So the next time you come across one of the Hospice staff in your area - let them know you too appreciate their help for those on their last days. |
If you are not - you are probably one of these three: An Atheist - who believes there is no God and we exist through chance and survival of the fittest; or an Agnostic - who is not sure if God exists and feels we are on own; or a Deist = who believes God created the world but is not engaged and everything is up to us to manage.
If you are a man of faith and are concerned for your soul, you are in my group; a Creationist - one who believes in God, His creation and the trust that God is involved with us (God wants a relationship with us).
Still not sure? Then consider these questions that 'we souls' ponder:
Do I really understand what is right versus what is wrong? Am I growing in my faith or distracted? Do I love others as I should? Do I do what I need to do or what I want to do? If you ask yourself these types of questions from time to time - you are a man of faith and hopefully, a K/21 like the rest of us. And as a K/21, we know the road we travel is not an easy one. We follow our Soul's guidance: we know we are accountable to God, we think past the present and beyond the grave. Therefore, yes we can call ourselves a 'Soul Man' - we listen to the quiet voice within and pursue the things we should.
"O LORD, what is man that You care for him, the son of man that You think of him?" - Psalm 144:3
