Greetings everyone. Our Summer of 2016 is rolling by quickly and with our Republican and Democratic National Conventions (for Presidential candidates nomination) now behind us - this week's GftG. . . message is an interesting one as it relates to our country. Consider these two aspects on this topic. The first, for the Olympic athlete. |
What is patience? Is it the understanding that things need to be worked for, to be pursued and that time is most likely required? Do you have it? Have you thought much of it? Do you appreciate it? What about your kids - have you shared insights on this, or are you working through having 'patience with them'?
It comes down to this. To succeed in all the good areas of life, we need to know when to push forward and when to hold up and wait. When you're not sure of which to do - go to prayer and ask God for guidance.
Patience is good to know and great to be able to appreciate. Thank you for reading and considering the above. I'll close with following. This morning I saw that Dr. David Jeremiah sent out a note on "Going for the Gold" (an interesting coincidence). He shared . . Few of us will ever display an Olympic medal on our mantels, but God has promised eternal rewards for our faithfulness in fulfilling His work. The last words of our Lord Jesus, as Matthew records them, are: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20). |
Dr. David Jeremiah then closed with: "It is time for the Church to refresh its commitment to its commission. There is a world to reach with the Gospel." (and we must remember - as Christians, we are the church). I am so thankful that God is patient with us. To thank Him for this, please join me in doing what you can, where you can to help share the good news of our faith. |
