So what does this mean? As men, it doesn't take too many years before we ask ourselves. . . am I on track for what I want to achieve? It is good we ask that but too often we don't think of the true big picture and that is in regards to a full life. Any man can become a patriarch but few do. Why not? Because too many get caught up in the small things and before they know it, their years have gone by and their abilities are now limited. But that can be avoided if you leverage your faith. |
These four can be summarized as 'Stepping Up'. Are they easy? No. Will you have stumbles along the way? Yes. But know this, the Bible tells us 'there is no one who does not sin' (1 Kings 8:46). The key is what you do in response to your sins and challenges. You can indulge them, excuse them or you can confront them by confessing and repenting to God. When we trust in Him, His Holy Spirit will guide us as to being on the lookout for sin and in knowing the situations that can trigger our sinful actions.
Knowing the above and in then in working to have a vision for your world - where you over time will have a positive impact on your family, your friends and others - is the path to becoming a patriarch.
