We now close out January with a great opportunity to do the right thing – that is kindness (when we can, where we can and as best we can). Why? First, consider these words in this pic. We live in an age where it seems that more and more of the things that we don't want to see, we can not help but see. But do we do anything about the things that we believe are wrong? Why not use this year as the year of 'I am going to help others'. It may push us all out of our comfort zone but the more of us that find ways to be kind, to be helpful, to be engaged . . . is a great step forward for our society. |
To start this year, we asked you to join us on the pursuit of accountability and honor. Which then leads us to the second [consider], and that is to know that when we pursue kindness, we are embracing the compassion that Christ lived His life as an example for us. And third, know that whatever we do to help others, is goodness.

Our No or Know (NoK) series rolls back up for your consideration. I would assume that you agree to that and if we do, then the next question raised is . . . in what or whom do we trust? As for me, I like the words as shown above – Proverbs 3:5 – but what say you?
[which leads us to] So then, do you no to trust or do you know trust? Because . . . To know trust is a great comfort, for no trust is an ongoing worry.
Often it is the lives of others that trigger us to look at our own. We then ask of ourselves . . . Am I doing what I should? Am I helping others? Am I achieving what I should? And oh yes, there are many other questions as well - it just depends on our life as it is and the possibility, maybe it should be changing. I share the above because there is a great little book titled Amanda's Poems. that her dad (Tom) has created for anyone who would like to get a powerful insight to the life of a young women (Amanda) who dealt with cancer over the last 7 years of her life. Through her poems, you get an insightful and inspiring look at how one can grasp the horror of having cancer, yet embraces the honor of having a growing faith. To me, although she probably didn't think she was . . . Amanda in wanting to share her thoughts, fears, hopes and faith through her poems, became a hero. She blazed a trail for others to follow and her family helped her by making her poems available. If you would like to have Amanda's Poems (available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Hebrew), you can do so via www.amandaspoems.com or by contacting Tom Twellman at 949.923.1047 (thank you Tom for doing this for your daughter). And FYI (from their website) . . . Amanda’s poem book is free to anyone who wants one. Donations are truly appreciated, but not required. If you wish to donate, please know that 100% of all money collected will be used to print and ship more poem books to others in need. Checks may be made out to: Cornerstone Missionary Fellowships Amanda’s Poems / Branch Ministries PO Box 1976 Mission, Texas 78573 Donations are tax deductible (100% of all donations is used to print more poem books)
