A picture that the world (and I) saw on August the 18th, saddened me greatly. It is below, from Aleppo and is of 5 year old Omran Daqneesh. He and his family were bombed by his Syrian government (and tragically, his older brother died from that attack). The next picture is from here in Minnesota and is of 5 year old Alayna Ertle. Sadly, she was abducted, sexually assaulted and killed by a 'so called - friend of her family'.
As a father or as a grandfather, I think you would join me with the feelings of anger, frustration and heartbreak for what is happening to children across this world. What is wrong with men? (and it doesn't appear to matter where in the USA or across the world where they live) At a minimum, their sense of Right and Wrong is broke. Wouldn't it be great if all men embraced values? | Values (do they add up?) Love + Belief = Faith Faith - Commitment = Sin Sin + Repentance = Forgiveness Forgiveness + Empathy = Compassion Compassion x Honesty = Perspective. Perspective + Reflection = Insight. Insight x Experience = Wisdom. Wisdom / Challenge = Courage. Courage + Integrity = Character. Character x Principles = Honor. Honor + Sacrifice = Love Now all of the above is to get us thinking. For example - how would you respond to these? Of Values - do I understand them? Am I embracing them? Have I achieved them? |
We need to remember - "All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing". Not all men are abusing others or pursuing crimes. Thank you for considering the above and pursuing what God calls of you. "Blessed are the peacemakers, they shall be call children of God" Matthew 5:9
