What to know about no? That may be a bit of a tricky question but that is okay and why we are thinking about this today. So let's start with this. If someone asked you what does 'no' mean? Most would probably respond with something around the aspect . . . 'don't do something'.
What is interesting and a key to putting 'no' into perspective, is that some may ask in response . . . “Do you mean 'no' the short word or 'know' the longer word?” For when we also put the words 'no' and 'know' on an equal consideration path, than we can add a little more thought than just a quick assumption. |
Which now brings us back to you (actually, all of us) and the need to give 'no' the full appreciation that it deserves. And that means this – please, the next time you get pulled into a 'no' situation . . . think . . . is this a negative or a next opportunity or a do I really know what is happening? Because when we open the aperture of our thinking, we are better positioned for all the amazing aspects of life to unfold. And remember that life is a long game to be experienced as best you can. You don't want a ton of 'no' nuances dragging you down. But if you, me, and everyone else embraces more of the 'no' equals 'next opportunity' . . . we'll see better days as our life unfolds. |
"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
Corinthians 10:13
