What's behind this? Unfortunately, so much.
If we are to be a part of changing things for the better, we need to determine what to do next. Our men's group has an opportunity to do more and I offer the following for your consideration. Also, I hope if you have questions or recommendations, you will share those as well. 1st) Across our country and across some of our families and even within some of us - we may have nuances of ignorance, discrimination, apathy and other negative behaviors. If it is within or outward from us - we need to pursue the change needed as best we can (aka take action). 2nd) We need to accept our responsibility in being the role-models that are good and helpful. |
Last and in closing (for now). None of us are perfect, we make mistakes. Our President this past Wednesday morning made a huge mistake; his words helped to stir frustrations in the protestors and they allowed themselves to ignore their ethics. Their actions in storming our US Capital are no different then those who looted and burned our cities in 2020. Our President and all who have done wrong, need to apologize and those who broke the law need to be held accountable.
I also know that there are so many nuances wrapped around the frustrations unfolding across our nation. If you are interested, in my FTGA website on 1/7/21 - https://fillthegapamerica.weebly.com/blog
I posted words on our country's stumble and how we need to change and pursue honor. So, if the above or my words on FTGA trigger ideas or recommendations, please respond. Thank you.
My prayers and best wishes for you, your families and for our country.
