Let me just say I'm calling today... "Decision 1 Monday: The Responsibility Decision (TRD)" and the reason for it is to kick off a series of blogs that I will share for your consideration (today and for the next few weeks).
Why? Last week we completed our Men's Fraternity 20 sessions on Robert Lewis' The Great Adventure. That information we covered since last Sept. can be found in the Resources Tab via our FREeBook posted.
Now we are starting what I'm calling our "Journey Forward" and to kick that off, I'll share these words.
I just recently came across these 7 decisions (from the book called "The Traveler's Gift", by Andy Andrews). What you see by this visual posted below, is the first of seven decisions shared. At this time, I only ask that you look at yourself and ponder "The Responsible Decision", and then determine if that info is helpful for yourself or possibly for someone that you know. For men on a journey, it is a good place to start. After pondering those words, then please see my closing words on this further below.
To me, these decisions are ones we all should read, ponder and then pursue as we see them as they relate to the circumstances in our lives. By that, I offer the following:
- We all are responsible for who we are and for what we do and ultimately achieve.
- Our past doesn't predict our future, but it sure can have an influence on how we go forward.
- Our future is unknown, happy or sad, many years or few - something's we control and others not.
So now, after looking over the 1st decision as posted above, I ask - what say you?
(aka. . . what am I responsible for?)
As for me, I'll share my 'rest of the story' as it relates to these decisions that will roll out now and over the next six weeks (watch for that blog around mid April at the latest). Till then, you get to decide your next steps. I encourage you to have the passion to pursue what is needed for your life at this time.
"So then each of us will give an account of himself to God."
