For example, you could ask yourself. . . "Am I Anxious or Arrogant?" or "Am I really doing what I want to do or need to do?". These are good questions and are only the few that we could ask of ourselves. One thing for sure, who we are - what shapes our character. . . or guides our actions, can evolve over time.
See if the following could be said of pointing at you in some way or at someone you may know.
Now anxious and arrogant are two aspects; what of dedication, carefree, faithful, faithless, polite, difficult, compassionate, ruthless, courageous, fearful, etc? It all boils down to the fact that we all have some of these ingredients within us at some time. It is when these surface, when we benefit or struggle because of them that points to the ups and downs in our life. If you see that things in your life are going well, that you are progressing on your plans, than 'continue on' (and when possible, help others along the way). But if you see that you're on a roller coaster of ups and downs, than it is time to make some changes in you life. Like these:
First, ponder the words to the right. Are you one who feels everything is going your way - confident and things just fall into place as you think they should and that time is on your side? Or are you one who now has things not going well and need some help? For example - are you pursuing a faith journey or is faith not a part of your efforts? | The Rolling Stones' song... Time is on my side has some lyrics we too often believe true of ourselves. Recognize these? Time is on my side, yes it is Time is on my side, yes it is Now you always say That you want to be free Unfortunately, none of us know how many weeks, months or years ahead we have. That is okay, we just want to be wise with our time and our talents so that we and our loved ones have the best times possible. So how do we live the life we should? |
