For our eleventh trail - we addressed . . . "Breaking Free from Life's Ruts". Which lead us to some good questions. For example: Am I stuck in a rut? If I am, do I know how to get out of it? | Do you remember these words from 1 Cor.13:11? "When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways." |
Thinking you could be in a rut is a good starting point.
To make sure, ask of yourself or of someone you trust;
are you too self-focused, immature, disconnected and/or directionless? If the answer to any of these is yes, then you also need to take on the K/21 challenge. That is to break free of these 'ruts' in your life and start changing the choices you make (start new paths). How? You have to accept the hard work and the discomfort that stepping out of our 'old ways' requires. It requires a discipline to do what is hard, what is needed. If you are not sure what to now pursue or to work on - consider creating new paths, new routines that are positive.
Like: Listening before talking, protecting the hearts of all women, thinking before you act, ensuring tenderness and empathy for all children, encourage and mentor others, be a positive role model, etc. Yes there were more examples that we covered and I would be glad to share those or to discuss any aspects of this subject further. Just use our D2B Contact Form and we'll respond as soon as we can.
It all boils down to this. All of us can get stuck in a rut. We have to decide if we will stay there or find a way out of it. Each of us can change. It starts with deciding upon the new direction to take and burning the old bridges that we must no longer travel. How about you - are you tired of making excuses, tired of the ruts you are in? I hope the answer is yes and that the closing information below encourages your next steps.
Thanks for considering the above - those words all relate well to these closing words from Proverbs 13:16
"In everything the prudent acts with knowledge, but a fool flaunts his folly."
