Knowing what helps or hurts our pursuits is good to know. what guides you? Your thoughts or words heard or signs read? We all need things that help us to stay on track and assuming that there will always be signs to guide us is wishful thinking.
Am I thinking about the issues or challenges clearly, honestly and realistically?
Why? Because I need to sort through my options, I need to validate what is good and what is doable.
Are the facts known and accurate, am I missing anything and are my emotions skewing my views?
Why? Because I need to know what is opinion verse fact, I need to determine if advice from others would help me and I that I am being consistent with my values.
How does this fit into God's perspective that I want, and does this help me to achieve the lifestyle that I am pursuing or would I regret this later?
Why? Because my beliefs should not be compromised, my thoughts need to lead to valid actions and my decisions now should not be regrets later.
Now the above are just the summary points to help you in regard to how you think verses just on what you hear or see. To be a K/21, we must make the decision to think and to move beyond good intentions. Doing so will not only help us in achieving our dreams but will also help us in dealing with the challenges that unfold in our lives. Our Code of Honor being pursued . . . "To the women who look for a world filled with knights,
may they feel safe, respected and loved by the men around them.
To our daughters, may they recognize the difference between a male and a man,
and may they find the latter.
To our sons, may they see our knighthood
which then challenges them on their own personal journey of manhood.
To the men who have brought honor before us, we join you.
To those males who brought disappointment, we offer healing.
To all who know us, may we make a difference that true manhood brings". K/21 Code of Honor. Ponder these below with those above over the weeks to come and join us in making them a part of your lives.
So thank you for reading the above, for your consideration of all that is shared and for your efforts to be a Knight of the 21st Century. We all have decisions to make. Make yours good ones! "Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15 |
