A popular Irish toast goes like this . . . “Always remember to forget the troubles that passed away. But never forget to remember the blessings that come each day.” Which raises a good question – is something like this important? It depends on your perspective. If you are like me, I am so thankful for all the blessings that have unfolded for me in my life. That helps to remind me each day to stay in prayer, to trust God to help me to put my troubles behind me and to keep moving forward each and every day as best I can. But, there is more. |
Our family, our job , our health, and our friends are the critical framework that we need to keep in our circle of importance. Are you doing so? Add those 4 with your faith pursuit and you have your focuses of importance (and yes, there could be more to add to those because we all have to determine what is important). Thanks for thinking on all of this and in determining what is of importance for you. Pursue those as best you can and remember: Learn to do good, seek justice, rebuke the oppressor, defend the fatherless and please the case for the widow. Isaiah 1:17 |
