Today is the day that I ask everyone to find the time to pause and to think about what integrity means to you and if it resides within you. For if it does – thank you. If you are unsure, then consider these words . . . ”Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.” |
Now, as for me – I think all of these words are good but I would add these few more. Our integrity is doing what we should . . . the right thing; what is needed, despite potential negatives. | Why? When we pursue negatives or what some would call the wrong actions, we get on the slippery slope. For example, consider this recent event on April 11th, 2021. The death of Daunte Wright. |
His death is an example of this - where emotion, adrenaline & wrong doing triggered tragedy. We now have two lives changed forever. Very sad and avoidable. Thank you for thinking about this and also remember . . . Proverbs 11:3 ”The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” Our prayers and best wishes are for all. |
