What is persistence? Is it the extension of desire or dedication?
Yes in part but it is even more that those. Read on through the following to see if you agree or if you have comments to share, we would appreciate seeing those. So thanks in advance for joining us on this overcast and slightly humid day of July 13th (and Happy Birthday wishes to my brother Kip).
This eleventh hole - called "Persistence", a par 5 (606 yards from the green tee) proved pivotal in the 2002 North America Championship. Richard 'Mr. Bigshot" Green played this challenging hole at our Outing International Golf Course perfectly, with a long drive to the middle of the fairway and a second shot that came to rest eight feet from the hole. His eagle was the only one on the hole during the championship, and it propelled him to victory. Attempts to reach the green in two that come up short will now find a new bunker from which a birdie will be an unlikely score. | This hole challenges everyone and those that take it on with a positive attitude and with commitment to succeed will find that their persistence of the best they can do - in all things, will be rewarded. And isn't that the way we should pursue all aspects in our life? (I thought you would think so as well) |
And as we now wrap up this week's message and as you pursue the week ahead, know that Persistence, from the dictionary is described as: a firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition work.
What say you?
(it does a body good)
