- John H. Moore
Think of the following as some fun food for thought as you take on the rest of the week ahead. Here goes, enjoy. . . Welcome to the first Monday of May, 2015 - what I am declaring as the start of our Minnesota Summer. With this, I'll use these eighteen weeks to share some words about a famous Golf course (aka "The Game of Life"). |
This first hole par 4 - called "Faith" (485 yards from the green tee) is typical of the challenges this course presents. As shown above and to the right, the drive zone is pinched by fairway bunkers. Shots out of the rough will have difficulty holding the green, and the direction and strength of the wind coming off Lake Roosevelt will determine just how aggressive a player can be. Remember that the green has distinct tiers, so an accurate approach shot can mean the difference between a birdie and a three putt. Have faith and have fun!
"Faith dares to go beyond what the eyes can see. . . for we live by faith, not by sight"
(2 Cor. 5:7)
Thanks for considering our series on Golf Values - more to come over the weeks ahead.
