Daniel was distressed for his people and was fasting and in prayer for three weeks. He then had a dream of future events to unfold and it overwhelmed him. Although God sent Gabriel to explain the dream to Daniel, he was delayed those three weeks due to an angel of Satan trying to prevent him from going to Daniel. It was then the Archangel Michael who came and defeated the angel of Satan, which allowed Gabriel to complete his task, his explanation of Daniel's dream. What do we learn from this? God answers prayers and yes, some answers are delayed. We also know God's prophesies continue to be proven true so we can trust His prophesy of the end times to come. |
Our mens study of the 'Agents of Babylon' (by Dr. David Jeremiah) is almost complete. This week's summary is from our November 29th focus on the words (about the prophecy Gabriel was to expain and his need of help) from the 10th and 11th chapters in the Book of Daniel. God wanted Daniel (and thus us as well) to know what would unfold in the years after Daniel's death. Why? Consider this: We can have confidence in what we learn from the Bible, of what God says is true.in His inspired word. Just look at what He said of Ahasuerus, Alexander, Antiochus III, Antiochus IV and the Antichrist to come.
