(and would you agree?)
Up first are these words that I saw that I thought were so true:
If you are unsure who to trust in these challenging times:
Trust the courageous ones. Truth requires courage and courage requires fortitude. And never forget, truth is a commitment to integrity. Cowards tell lies and cowards support liars. Telling a lie is easy, believing a lie is easy, being compliant is easy, staying silent is easy, and trusting without thinking is easy. Thinking for yourself is hard, standing up for what is right is hard, and being honorable is hard. In times like these it takes all the courage in the world to question the status quo and to speak the truth.
Trust the courageous and if you want a good example, look at Jesus.
I would recommend the following: Figure out what quote, Bible verse or whatever . . . helps you to remember how critical the truth is e.g. “Tell a lie once and all of your truths become questionable” or the other ones shared here. They are all good words to ponder and for us to embrace as we deem best. We just need to make the commitment and go from there. And as always, thank you for thinking on this and remember . . . The LORD detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy. Proverbs 12:22 |
