In this week's Mens meeting, in our "Hanging Out With Jesus" series, we discussed how Jesus looks at Generosity. We assume most would recognize the words from 2 Corinthians 9:6 but for our talk, we focused on Luke 21:1-4 and the lesson learned from the widow. We are reminded that there could be so many that give out of their poverty, that we too should take the time to review our perspectives and actions when it comes to generosity verses responsibility. Patrick Morley tells us "You don't have to give a large amount to give a lot". What say you? |
We close this week with these words from Moliere "It is not only for what we do that we are held responsible, but also for what we do not do." No one should be pressured to do or not do something. We though as men should take the time to reflect upon what we do for ourselves, for our families and for our communities. If those are good, we are stepping up as men. If after reflection we believe there are somethings we can do better at - we then must decide, will we take action?
