1st - A real man makes the time to consider their death and the aspect of eternity. His thoughts on those then become the factors that influence how he will adjust and live his life going forward.
2nd - We see the world's two metaphysical views of life & death (and these are just a few summary points).
- The Traditional / Religious world wide view. . . says we (human beings) are the Less and are derived from the More. That our life points to a meaningful continuance after our death (for those who believe).
- The Secular / Scientism world wide view. . . says we are the More who are derived from the Less. That our life ends with a meaningless death.
3rd - That we understand the four options that we all have:
- The DEAD END option... (that's it, nothing after death)
- The BLIND OPTIMIST option... (no matter what, everything will be ok)
- The I'M GOOD ENOUGH option... (at least I'll be ok)
- The I NEED HELP option... (I'm not sure and uneasy)
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Cor. 4:18) And don't forget the "Decide 2 Be Driven..." Challenge The dictionary explains 'driven' as: 1) compelled by personal need: striving to achieve personal goals because of a strong need or inner compulsion. 2) having a particular thing as a principal cause. Each of us needs to determine what being driven means for us personally. It may mean... To become what we want, we must do what we don’t. | Depending on your faith aspect or not, will be key to which of the four options above you would choose for yourself. For those in pursuit of faith, the words to the left and below may be of interest. The Adventurer's Sacred Oath = "I will fervently live my life according to my design, with the end in mind." Which leads to: With "our end" in mind and understood, we make the adjustments now in our life as needed to pursue the events and the legacy that we will be glad we enabled (doing this now means no regrets later). Thanks for reading and considering all of the above - your comments and/or questions are always welcomed. Regards & Best Wishes! |
